Job Description

About No Bugs

No Bugs provides professional pest management services to residential and commercial customers throughout Texas. Our commercial division supports a wide variety of organizations including office complexes, healthcare facilities, retail centers, food service businesses, manufacturing operations, educational institutions, and property management companies.

As our commercial customer portfolio continues to grow in central Ohio, we are seeking a Commercial Account Manager to strengthen customer relationships, improve account retention, coordinate service delivery, and support long-term business growth.

Position Overview

The Commercial Account Manager serves as the primary relationship owner for an established portfolio of commercial customers. Unlike a Sales Inspector who focuses on acquiring new business or a Branch Manager who oversees operational performance, this role is centered on customer retention, account development, service coordination, and strategic relationship management.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers, technicians, inspectors, supervisors, and branch leadership to ensure commercial clients receive consistent service and value from their pest management programs.

This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, business acumen, and the ability to understand both customer expectations and operational realities.

Primary Responsibilities

    • Manage an assigned portfolio of commercial pest management accounts.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer questions and service-related concerns.
    • Conduct periodic account reviews with customers.
    • Coordinate service delivery with operational teams.
    • Monitor customer satisfaction and retention trends.
    • Identify opportunities for additional services when appropriate.
    • Prepare account summaries, reports, and service recommendations.
    • Support contract renewals and service agreement updates.
    • Participate in customer site visits and business review meetings.
    • Investigate and resolve escalated service concerns.
    • Collaborate with technicians and supervisors to address operational challenges.
    • Maintain accurate customer records and communication logs.
    • Monitor contract compliance and service commitments.

Commercial Customer Types

The Commercial Account Manager may support customers such as:

    • Office buildings.
    • Medical clinics.
    • Healthcare facilities.
    • Restaurants.
    • Food distribution operations.
    • Retail stores.
    • Apartment communities.
    • Property management companies.
    • Warehouses.
    • Manufacturing facilities.
    • Educational institutions.
    • Municipal properties.

Each customer has unique operational requirements, service expectations, and regulatory considerations.

Relationship Management Responsibilities

A significant portion of the role focuses on maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key activities include:

    • Conducting regularly scheduled account review meetings.
    • Understanding customer business objectives.
    • Discussing service performance trends.
    • Reviewing pest activity reports.
    • Coordinating preventative strategies.
    • Communicating service recommendations.
    • Addressing customer concerns before they become larger issues.
    • Building long-term trust and credibility.

The goal is to become a valued business partner rather than simply a service provider.

Service Coordination Responsibilities

Commercial customers often require coordination between multiple teams.

The Account Manager may work with:

    • Pest Control Technicians.
    • Commercial Specialists.
    • Sales Inspectors.
    • Route Managers.
    • Quality Assurance personnel.
    • Branch leadership teams.

Responsibilities include ensuring customer expectations are clearly communicated and operational teams have the information needed to deliver services effectively.

Reporting and Documentation

Customers frequently require service documentation for regulatory, audit, insurance, or internal quality purposes.

This role may assist with:

    • Service summaries.
    • Trend reports.
    • Account reviews.
    • Contract documentation.
    • Compliance-related records.
    • Meeting summaries.
    • Corrective action tracking.

The ability to organize and communicate information clearly is essential.

Required Qualifications

    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
    • Professional presentation and communication abilities.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
    • Computer proficiency.
    • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Business-to-business service experience.

Success Measurements

Performance in this role is evaluated through:

    • Customer retention rates.
    • Account satisfaction scores.
    • Contract renewal performance.
    • Customer feedback.
    • Service coordination effectiveness.
    • Revenue stability within assigned accounts.

    • Vision insurance.
    • 401(k) with company contribution.
    • Paid vacation.
    • Paid holidays.
    • Customer retention incentive program.
    • Professional development opportunities.
    • Mobile technology package.
    • Mileage reimbursement or vehicle allowance.
    • Employee assistance program.

Work Environment

This role combines office-based work, customer meetings, branch collaboration, and periodic site visits. Travel throughout the Houston metropolitan area is required to maintain relationships with commercial customers and support account reviews.

Career Development

Commercial Account Managers who demonstrate strong leadership, customer relationship skills, and business performance may advance into Senior Account Manager, Commercial Services Manager, Regional Account Director, Business Development Manager, or Branch Leadership positions.
